Abstract

This research is entitled (The Philosophy of Fasting in the Christians), in which it dealt with the definition of Christian religion, the correct saying in Jesus and his call to God Almighty, and it was martyred in that correct evidence from the Qur’an and Sunnah, and what was agreed with that of Christians, then the research dealt with the types of fasting and the stages of its development and the deviation of Christians In it, then the research moves to the core of the study and the philosophy of fasting at the three Christians, and this came with the detailed study of each group as follows: the definition of the Catholics, then the philosophy of fasting at the Catholics. Definition of Orthodox, then the philosophy of fasting in the Orthodox. Definition of protestant (evangelists), then the philosophy of fasting at the protestant. Then the research dealt with aspects of agreement and difference between the sects of Christians in fasting, then the study was tail by placing these sins and rituals of the ritual of fasting in the Christians in the balance of Islam and the transportation arguments and mental for the scholars to be clear and the characteristic of an arrestling worship is characterized by the way of revelation from the sky, and to fall and fall and determine what was fabricated and developed It is free of infallibility and the possibility of error. Then the study concluded with a conclusion in which it highlighted the most important results reached by the research, including: It is difficult to call what Christianity brought through the stages of its influence and development of a heavenly legitimate, or legislation from God Almighty with the revelation of the house from the sky, so most of it is a church legislation that was established and created by the Casson and the monks, then Their church councils, whose decisions are considered to be a sacred nature, are binding on every Christian, and whoever violates them with them is an infidel. Fasting did not impose in the Gospels as a duty, but rather mentioned his praise with the prohibition of hypocrisy and frowning in fasting. That since 325 AD, a list of Christian belief has been established, which was called (the Law of Faith) or (the Constitution of Faith). That law that defined the principles of the Christian belief in twelve principles, the curtain from then to the predecessor beliefs that were attributed to Christ - on Christ Our Prophet, and upon him the best of prayer and peace- especially the beliefs that keep pace with the logic of this new constitution, and that was a reason for the division of religion into three teams. That each of the Christian teams began to start its religious activity, and independently of its studies and priesthood, so each group was distinguished by a special philosophy, which was originally for its various legislation of its church society. Paul imposed types of fasting on Christians, witnessing his second message to the people of Corintus. The Christian fasting in general is related to the festivals and historical events that have gone through sadness or joy, and they are affected and quoted by those who preceded them from the Babylonians, Persians, Greeks and Romanians.
