Abstract



Title of Study: Difficulty in teaching speech skills to non – Arabic speakers Objective of the study: The research focuses on the skill of speech teaching and learning, by highlighting the role of each element of the educational process in pursuit of the following objectives: - Statement of the importance of speech skills in teaching the language as a second language. - Identify the teaching difficulties of speech skills. - Detecting the relationship of elements of the educational process with the difficulties of teaching speech skills - Determine how to evaluate the skill of speech The study methodology and procedures: The study followed the descriptive approach to the nature of the study and its objectives and descriptive approach does not depend only on the description of the phenomenon studied but beyond to try to detect the relationship between the phenomenon studied and the variables that affect. • Results: - It is clear through the results that the most prominent teacher problems related to the teacher from the point of view of teachers, is not to apply strategies to teach the skill of speech by the teacher. - The most important teaching problems related to the student is the weakness of the student's opportunity to use the Arabic language within the community. - The most important teaching problems related to content is the lack of activities that encourage the innovative use of language. - The most important teaching problems related to the evaluation of the skill of speech is the lack of very accurate standards in assessing the skill of speech for each level. • Study Recommendations: Work to solve the teaching problems facing teachers while teaching speech skills to non-Arabic speakers. Urge teachers of Arabic to non-native speakers to implement speech skills teaching strategies. Training teachers of Arabic language for non-native speakers in the field of teaching Arabic language skills to non-native speakers. Encourage teachers to encourage and motivate students to participate. Educating teachers by informing students about comfort during participation and evaluation. Interest in creating opportunities for students to use the Arabic language within the community. Interest Attention to the problem of shyness of direct participation of students. Activate activities that encourage students to use innovative language. Interest in redesigning content to serve real communication. Work on preparing and providing very accurate measurements in assessing the skill of speech for each level. Conducting comprehensive studies on finding solutions to the teaching problems faced by teachers while teaching speech skills to non-Arabic speakers.
