Abstract

Insurance is one of the basic pillars on which the economic development policy is based in any country. This is due to the provision of considerable financial resources for the benefit of productive projects, the facilitation of credit and the reduction of inflation. It is a means of protection from risk. It also affects positively many economic variables and, most importantly, It mobilizes savings to finance productive investments, which are the cornerstone of progress. The importance of the paper is reflected in the dual role that Algeria seeks to achieve through its accession to the World Trade Organization and the activity of the insurance market in agricultural economic development by providing the necessary guarantees to achieve its plans on the one hand and collecting a considerable amount of financial resources benefiting projects produced on the other hand.
