The Legal Protection from Damage of Cosmetic Products: Study in the Saudi Cosmetic Products Law

Abstract

In view of the development and diversity of commercial fraud means and methods and the use of modern technology in the art of deception, packaging and packaging, and in the face of the consumer’s lack of technical and legal (legal) expertise that would enable him to make a good choice, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has issued a new system regulating dealing in cosmetic products called the Cosmetic Products System issued by decree. Royal No. M/49 dated 06/18/1436 AH, and this system clarifies how the provisions are applied to cosmetic products, their factories and warehouses.
In view of the increasing spread of these products and the increasing demand for them by people, as well as the discrepancy in prices and the variation in herbal, non-herbal, medicinal and non-medical formulations, as well as the disease cases recorded as a result of the use of these products, and the emergence of a new system in the Kingdom that sets regular rules for the trade of these products, this research was to answer a major question It is the extent to which special rules can be provided to protect the system from damages arising from the use of cosmetic products in the Saudi system
