Abstract

This research aims to conduct a stylistic and grammatical analysis of the conditional structures in the poetry collection of "Nabigha Bani Shayban." The stylistic analysis in this study is an integration of the procedures of stylistic investigation and the grammatical rules of the conditional style. This is an applied study that uses the theoretical foundations of stylistics and the grammatical rules of conditional sentences on a literary text. A stylistic researcher can't undertake such a study unless they have a thorough understanding of the concept of stylistics and its related issues, such as its trends, phenomena, and the syntactic level of stylistic study. Furthermore, the researcher must also be knowledgeable about the grammatical rules governing conditional structures before applying them to the literary text.Accordingly, our study consists of two parts: one theoretical and one practical. The Theoretical Part: This section has three subsections.
The first subsection This deals with the concepts of "style" and "stylistics" to clarify the difference between them, along with the methodology of stylistics, its relationship with linguistics, its trends, and the nature of stylistic analysis. This subsection also covers the five levels of stylistic analysis: phonological, syntactic, morphological, rhetorical, and semantic levels. It also examines the stylistic phenomena of deviation, which include (inversion, omission, and anaphoric shift), and the stylistic procedures of selection and repetition.
The second subsection: This focuses on the meaning of the conditional, its style, and its tools (operative and inoperative), as well as the grammatical rules of conditional structures, such as the tenses of the verbs of the conditional clause and the result clause, their association with the letter "fa" (ف) - is a conjunction that links two clauses, and omission, etc.The third subsection: This provides a biography of the poet "Nabigha Bani Shayban," the author of the poetry collection (the subject of the study)،The Practical Part: This involves a stylistic analysis of the conditional structures in the poetry collection of "Nabigha Bani Shayban." The objective is to demonstrate how the forms of the conditional structures found in the collection conform to the grammatical rules and to identify the stylistic phenomena of deviation employed by the poet.
