Abstract

Mosques have held a lofty status in Islam; they are the primary shelter for organizing all matters of Muslims, from which the nation spread across the East and West, spreading light, knowledge, and peace. Starting from this noble goal, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has paid great attention to mosques and has nurtured them as they deserve. Because mosques deserve honor and reverence, and to be protected from desecration or becoming a refuge for disruptors and those lurking against residency regulations and similar issues, my research, which I have titled: (The Regulations of Selling and Investing in Vacant Mosque Sites and Those with Interrupted Benefits: A Juridical Legal Study), has focused on this aspect. The research gains its importance from the researcher's perspective as it contributes to improving the efficiency and productivity of neglected mosque sites and investing in them, which are currently considered idle financial assets. Perhaps it is best and most appropriate for the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, as the administrative body representing the state in overseeing the mosques, to assume the responsibilities and competencies of selling or managing the sites of inactive mosques or investing their properties and funds in charitable ways.
