Abstract
The importance of the research comes from the fact that it deals with one of the important chapters in the Arabic language, which is the chapter of (the pronoun), the pronoun has a great value and a clear impact in the Arabic language, as it connects parts of speech, and provides brevity, conciseness, and the removal of ambiguity. Therefore, in this research, I mentioned the function of the pronoun in the Arabic language, and then I followed that with a definition of the pronoun according to grammarians, and mentioned its divisions, the types of hidden pronouns, the types of prominent pronouns, the places where the pronoun must be separate, and the places where it is the permissibility of the separate pronoun when the connected pronoun can come, the reason for constructing pronouns, the rules of the speaker’s ya’, the pronoun referring back to an indefinite noun, the definite article al replacing the pronoun, the separating pronoun, the pronoun of concern, the occurrence of the connected pronoun after (lawla), the explanation of the absent pronoun and its precedence, the wasp issue, and the disagreement over the separate accusative pronoun
