Abstract

This research presents a diagnostic and therapeutic perspective on the crises of the capitalist system—whether economic or financial—by examining the main causes behind the crises experienced by this system, diagnosing them, and identifying their nature. These causes may stem from the inherent structure, principles, and policies of the capitalist system itself, or they may be external factors that have impacted the system and contributed to the occurrence of certain crises.
By analyzing the system’s policies and procedures in addressing these crises and its ability to overcome them and eliminate their causes, the study evaluates the overall efficiency of the capitalist system. This evaluation is conducted from the standpoint of the Islamic economic system, which serves as a benchmark for measuring the capitalist system's effectiveness in managing crises. The Islamic economic system is distinguished by the efficiency of its principles and policies, the legitimacy of its means and tools, and its proven ability to confront both economic and financial crises, whether through curative methods or preventive measures that avert the occurrence of crises.
To address the above, the research is divided into two main sections. The first section explains the concept of crisis in general, and more specifically, economic and financial crises—their manifestations and various types—in three main subsections. The second section, in five subsections, explores the causes found to be linked to the repeated crises of the capitalist system. These include causes related to the nature of economic activities, the capitalist system itself, its financial policies, economic and financial glob
