Abstract
The topic of intention is one of the most important topics due to the influence of intention, as it is one of the most important heart-related actions, as without it the action is not valid and is not taken into account. If the intention is not valid, then all the actions of the person responsible, whether they are acts of worship or transactions, and all other contracts and actions are considered invalid. Among the issues in which intention has an impact are the issues of ending the marital relationship; Because it is related to preserving honor and lineage, and it also touches an important part of society, which is the family, and the family entity must be preserved, and the research aims to explain the concept of intention linguistically and technically, and the conditions for the validity of intention, then explain the effect of intention in divorce and its types such as divorce by explicit wording, divorce by metaphor, divorce by mere intention, divorce by writing, divorce of the joking and angry, the coerced, the mistaken and the one who slipped his tongue, divorce of the terminally ill, and the resulting effect, and the conditional divorce, or the oath of divorce, then explain the effect of intention in ila and zihar because ila is one of the legitimate means to end the marital relationship if it is not fulfilled, then
