Abstract

This research aims to contribute to sparing the Islamic nation the evil of fragmentation and erosion caused by the fanaticism of fanaticism, this scourge that has distanced Muslims in the past and present from the source of prophecy, which has shown that it is foul, and has often warned against its dangers. Therefore, the original view of this fanaticism was through the lens of the faith, which demonstrated its position represented in rejecting it, and disavowing its advocates, but it also called for getting rid of the whims of souls so that monotheism may be purely God alone. Based on the two approaches: descriptive and inductive, the research has clarified the image of the hated fanaticism, using the historical approach to trace its negative effects on the faith, from the beginning of Islam to the present era. The research has addressed the correction of the concept of patriotism and nationalism and its difference from fanaticism. The research reached results, the most important of which are: clarifying the falsity of claims of nationalism that contradict the doctrine, and that the call for the Arab League should not be an opponent of Islam, and clarifying the negative effects of fanaticism that contributed to the destruction of the entity of the Islamic nation in the past and present. The most important recommendations of the research may be represented in the necessity of spreading knowledge of the correct concept of nationalism, and sensing the enormity of the crime of advocates of fanaticism against religion
