Abstract

The debates in the Islamic environment were a strong reason for the progress and development of science. Because it is characterized by an interactive, dialogical approach that pushes its owner to serious research, the implementation of thought, and consideration of what the other presents. Hence, the debates were a link between scholars in various sciences, including the science of Islamic theology, which won the largest share of it; Due to the nature of its approach, which is based on communication and interaction between multiple parties.
And since the deliberative approach is a mechanism for analyzing texts, and a serious and effective tool in revealing its main goals; I saw highlighting the deliberative value of the contractual debate through the practical application of the brief debate that took place in the fourth century AH between Judge Abd al-Jabbar al-Hamdhani (d.
Each of them represented the head of his verbal group, and the debate revolved around the actions of the servants, and what is related to them from the generality of his will - the Almighty - and despite its brevity, it carries many implicit meanings, revealed by the general context of the debate, which made it a rich field for deliberative analysis.
