Similarities in the terminology of hadith scholars, and their effect on the narrator and the narrated

Abstract

Knowing the evidence for critics is one of the most important issues in searching for the causes of hadith, as it is through it that the purposes of the imams in criticizing the news are known, and this can only be achieved after diligently following up on the narrators' narrations and examining them; the way to knowing the cause is to collect the ways of the hadith, and to look into the differences in its narrators and their accuracy and mastery, so if its narrators agree and are equal, its soundness becomes apparent, and if they differ, the cause in it can become apparent.
Knowing the similarities is one of the paths of scholars that God has given them to differentiate between the correct and the weak. In this research, we have discussed the concept of similarities and what is related to them, and their effect on the narrator and the narrated; the existence of what indicates similarity and closeness between the narrators or narrations is a path of the critics’ methods of invalidation, so they invalidate the hadiths due to the similarity between the hadiths of the narrator and the hadiths of the weak and accused, and they also invalidate them due to the lack of similarity to the hadiths of the trustworthy and skilled, or because it resembles a hadith other than the one to whom it was attributed.
