The Topic of The Research: Al-Hakim's intention in describing the narrator as Bukhari and Muslim did not rely on him.
The Objective of the Research: The current research aims to discuss the intention of Imam Abu Abdullah Al-Hakim in his book: "Al-Mustadrak Ala Al-Sahihain min Wasf Al-Rawi Bian Al-Bukhari wa Muslim Lam Yahtaja Behi".
Problem of the Research: What is Al-Hakim's intention in describing the narrator as Bukhari and Muslim did not rely on him?
Methodology of the Research: I have adopted the descriptive-inductive approach in collecting the narrators and their biographies and stating whether Bukhari and Muslim narrated from him in Sahih or other of their works.
Plan of the Research: The research consists of an introduction, a preface, two chapters, a conclusion and indexes
The Introduction includes the problem and its questions, its importance and objectives, procedures and the research plan.
The Preface includes an introduction to the science of criticism and modification.
Chapter One: The narrators described by Al-Hakim as not being relied upon by The Two Sheikhs.
Chapter Two: Clarifying Al-Hakim's intention in saying they did not rely on him.
The Conclusion includes the findings, the most prominent of which are:
• The narrators who Al-Hakim did not describe as Al-Bukhari and Muslim did not rely on them, among them are a trustworthy narrator, twelve narrators who are characterized by truthfulness with error or delusion, ten narrators who are characterized by weakness, and seven narrators who are abandoned.
