Abstract

Scholars, may God have mercy on them, have their own jurisprudence and rules, and one of the most prominent scholars who is famous for these specific rules is Al-Hafiz Ibn Abd al-Barr, may God have mercy on him. He was famous for the modification that so-and-so is one of the people of knowledge, and he used this rule on some narrators in some of his works, such as the introduction and the recitation. , and others, so I wanted to study this rule, with a historical trace of those who said it, and a statement of the evidence on which it was relied, and the opinions of scholars on that, and a study of two applied models of this rule.
After the introduction and preamble, the researcher began by mentioning three Sections. In the first section, he explained the authenticity of Ibn Abd al-Barr’s rule regarding the amendment by acquiring knowledge; This is based on the historical trace of Ibn Abd Al-Barr’s rule; mentioning the opinions of scholars regarding it. In the second section, he mentioned the hadith that was relied upon amending the acquiring of knowledge, and presented the hadith with its evidences, its study, and judgement on it. In the third section, he studied two applied models of this rule. Then he mentioned the conclusion of the research, which includes the most important results, recommendations, sources and references.  In writing this research, the researcher relied on the inductive method and the deductive analytical method.
