Abstract
This research deals with a balance between the interpretive approach of Imam al-Baqir and al-Sadiq in the interpretations of the Sunnis and the interpretations of the Shiites.
The research came in an introduction, a preface, four topics, and a conclusion. As for the introduction: it included the research methodology, its problem, an indication of its importance, its objectives, the research methodology, and its plan. The introduction came in introducing Muhammad al-Baqir and his son Jaafar al-Sadiq, and the first topic in the balance in the interpretation related to faith, and the second topic in the balance in the interpretation related to jurisprudence and its origins, and the balance in the interpretation related to the language, and the fourth topic: the balance in the sources of interpretation. As for the conclusion: it included the most important results, including: that Muhammad al-Baqir and his son Jaafar al-Sadiq have a great place in the hearts of Muslims, for God combined for them the two honors of knowledge and lineage, for they are Hashemite, and among the imams of Ahl al-Bayt, and that their approach to interpretation among the Sunnis and the community is similar to the approaches of The imams who interpreted the Companions and the followers before them, such as the interpretation of the Qur’an by the Qur’an, the interpretation of the Qur’an by the Sunnah, the interpretation of the Qur’an by the sayings of the Companions and the Followers, and the interpretation of the Qur’an by opinion and ijtihad, and that the Shiites have gone to extremes in their right as is their case in Aal al-Bayt, so they attributed to them exegetical sayings that contradict the explicit Sunnah and what was reported from The other companions sometimes distorted their sayings in order to make them agree with their false beliefs, and that the disagreement between the interpretations of the Sunnis and the interpretations of the Shiites is a disagreement in the origin and head of Islam, which is the Holy Qur’an.The study recommends conducting a study of the sayings of all the Twelver Shiite imams, a comparative study between the interpretations of the Sunnis and the Shiites, and conducting a special study of the chains of interpretation of the Shiites, and verifying them, and conducting a study that collects the sayings in which Al-Baqir and Al-Sadiq agree in the books of the Sunnah.
