The relationship of language with media and its role in communication and its impact on the masses

Abstract

The research deals with media linguistics, which is an important branch of modern general linguistics. The researcher highlighted the role of language in media and communication (message), and its impact on the recipient (the addressee).
The research contains an introduction containing the importance of the topic. The aim of the study, the previous studies, and the preface, in which there is a historical account of language, as it is a means of communication and coexistence between individuals and groups, and the substance or structure is divided into two sections:
The first topic is “the relationship of language to media”, in which the researcher defined the media as a language and terminologically, and detailed the saying in the relationship of language with media, and the features that should actually be achieved in the language of contemporary media. As for the “second topic,” the researcher clarified the role of language in mass communication, and what should be achieved from the characteristics of the media message (written, spoken or visual), and the conclusion which includes the results and recommendations,
Among the results: the contribution of the Arabic language to making and shaping the Arab media speech, and Among the recommendations: correcting the media language and raising the standard of teaching the Classical Arabic.
