Opinions of Abu Bakr Al-Mardi and his grammatical approach

Abstract

The research deals with the views of one of the Andalusian grammatical scholars, who lived in Cordoba in the fifth century AH, which is Abu Bakr Khattab bin Yusuf bin Hilal Al-Mardi. The scholars praised him, his students, his writings and his death, then the research in the first chapter dealt with the study of sixty-six of the grammatical and morphological issues in which Abu Bakr al-Mardi received an opinion, and what the scholars reported in their books about him, while comparing them with the words of previous and later scholars, and explaining their arguments in them, as well as the research dealt with In the second chapter, a statement of the method of Abu Bakr al-Mardi in his handling of grammatical issues, in terms of his care for listening and his position on it, whether it is from the Noble Qur’an and its readings or the noble hadith or the words and poetry of the Arabs. His position on them, his approach to weighting and objection, and then his grammatical doctrine, which he followed through his choices and sayings.
