What Abu Hayyan al-Andalusi (d. 745 AH) attributed to Abu Zakaria al-Farra (d. 207 AH) and in his book Meanings of the Qur’an what contradicts him

Abstract

This research revolves around the opinions attributed by Abu Hayyan al-Andalusi in some of his works to Abu Zakaria al-Farra, and in his book (The Meanings of the Qur’an) what opposes this attribution. The research collected twenty-five issues that Abu Hayyan attributed to Al-Farra, and in his book Al-Ma’ani what this ratio is mentioned, these issues were divided into three sections, the first revolves around vocabulary and grammatical factors, the other revolves around structures, and the third deals with Arabs. This study derives its importance from Al-Farra’s grammatical status, which is one of the pillars of the Kufic school of thought, and from the value of his book Al-Ma’ani, which is one of the most important sources of Kufic grammar. The grammarians of his time and one of the most prominent grammarians of all time.
