Abstract

The research aims to highlight the meaning of the abnormal readings and the most important literature in them, and to introduce Samin Al-Halabi and his book Al-Dur Al-Masoon, and it also aims to reveal the approach of Al-Samin Al-Halabi in dealing with the abnormal readings through the part of Tabarak as a model. Through the previous objectives, the problem of the study lies in the following questions: What are abnormal readings? Who is Al-Samin Al-Halabi and what is the significance of his book Al-Dur Al-Masun? What is his approach to abnormal readings? What are his strengths and weaknesses? The researcher followed the inductive approach by following the blessed part in the book Al-Durr Al-Masoon by Samin Al-Halabi, and he also followed the critical approach in showing what the man is and what is upon him. This research consisted of three sections, the first topic was the definition of abnormal readings and the rule of work with them, the second topic was the definition of Samin Al-Halabi, and the third section was entitled Imam Al-Samin Al-Halabi’s approach to dealing with abnormal readings. The most important findings of the study are: Abnormal readings are the readings that have lost one of the pillars of correct reading, which is beyond ten. - Imam al-Samin al-Halabi was the best in dealing with abnormal recitations in terms of attributing them to their people and directing them. Al-Samin Al-Halabi mentioned one hundred and thirty-six places in Juz’ Tabarak (136), and Surat Al-Jinn took the lion’s share with twenty-one (21) places, while Surat Al-Mulk took the lesser number with only six places. Al-Samin Al-Halabi is accused of the inaccuracy of attributing some of the readings to their owners, and sometimes the inaccuracy of attributing the reading to the one who said it in the first place.
