The study aimed to follow the method of Al-Amidi's employment of the poetic witness through the book (Al-Mutafa’ wa Al-Mukhtalif). And revealing how to employ the poetic witness Al-Amidi. And to clarify the importance of the poetic witness in the translation of the poet. The research attempted to answer the following question: What are the reasons that led Al-Amadi to include poetic evidence in his book (Al Muttaif wa Al-Mukhtalat). The research followed the descriptive approach, which depends on describing the evidence of the book and the Al-Amadi method in employing the poetic witness. The research came in an introduction, and a preface in it, the definition of the definition of the book and the definition of the witness, the poetic witness in the book of the recombinant and the different, and three demands: The first: Employing the poetic witness to serve history. The second: employing the poetic witness to serve the critical term. And the third: employing a poetic witness to serve literary art. Among the most prominent results of the research: Itqan Al-Amidi employing poetic evidence for the purposes he wanted.
